Preliminary Engineering Study

preliminary-eng-study

As a first step in the development of an “Energy Efficiency Project” the Preliminary Engineering Study (PES) provides building owners with the necessary information they need in order to gain an understanding of how their installed System(s) is currently operating.

Through the review of electricity bills, no rx  Equipment/System operations, there cooling loads and overall System evaluation, Renteknik will compare the collected data with Manufacturer’s Specifications and identify where the System(s) is not operating efficiently or at capacity.

Through the Preliminary Engineering Study findings building owners will be provided with:

  • A reasonable estimate of power and electrical consumption
  • Identified projected energy savings, cost savings
  • Benefits of incorporating Energy Management Opportunities (EMOs) into an Energy Efficiency Project
  • A basis for the development of a “Detailed Engineering Study” plan
